The beginning of Stone Age marks the era when human beings are not even properly developed. Anthropologists believe that the use of tools was an important step in the evolution of mankind. These tools are used by both humans as well as chimpanzees. A tool is a device that can be used to chop an item to produce something or to achieve a task. Tools are used in many processes and they are also known as instrument, utensil, machine or apparatus.

Tools can be classified in various categories:

Cutting Tools: they are having the wedge shape that produces a shearing force along a narrow face. The edge of the cutting tools should be harder than the material for cutting it else the blade will become dulled with the repeated use. There are many types of cutting tools some of them are knife, sickle, steel cord blades, wood planner knives. Other examples of cutting tools include gouges and drill bits.

Nowadays, these cutting tools are also used in the tyre manufacturing industries. The Tyre is manufactured by extracting rubber and cutting it into the shape. This cutting of tyre is done with the help of the Steel Cord Blade. It is mainly used for cutting steel reinforced rubber in radial tyre plant.

Apart from the manufacturing and shaping of the materials these tools are also used for the self-defense. As they are the sharp edged tools so they are widely used for the defense or attack. These tools are also used in the war; they are practiced by the karate kids also.

Tools are used since time immemorial for various purposes. From chopping trees to carve wood in beautiful form, tools find an extensive use in varied spheres. The primitive needs of our ancestors led to the invention of these tools, and now these have attained larger than life significance in different industries.
